| Leanna Thomas, Soprano |

|
Leanna Thomas has been singing in Methodist Church adult choirs for over 50 years, following
her parents’ example. Lee’s formal musical training is in classical
piano; but at a tender age she demonstrated the vocal ability which has resulted in her being a 25-year member of the Evansville
Philharmonic Chorus and a regular soloist in that group and in other classical and contemporary venues. Her vocal knowledge has derived from many excellent directors in both churches and EPC, such as Robert
Moody, Prof. Daniel Craig, Dr. Robert McIver, and Dr. Robert Rapp. Lee has been
a soloist in Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra concerts, including “Sing-Along Messiah,” and is a member of Old
North UMC Chancel choir. She performed the part of Golda in “Fiddler on
the Roof,” and the part of Amahl’s mother in “Amahl and the Night Visitors,” both Methodist Temple
productions. She was featured as soloist in the EPC’s 2008 Fall concert in
Schubert’s Mass in G and Wolfgang’s
2008 Christmas Concerts in selections from Handel’s Messiah.
Lee performed Mozart's Laudate Dominum" in this concert.
