David Jarrett, Trumpet Soloist

David Jarrett, trumpet soloist, attended the University of Evansville where he graduated with Bachelor's degrees in Music Therapy and Music Education.  After two years of teaching, he spent 7 1/2 years playing in "The Mighty Eighth" Air Force Band at Barksdale AFB, Louisiana.  He attended the University of Louisville where he studied with Mike Tunnell and John Rommell.  While in Louisville he occasionally played bugle for Churchill Downs.
 
Jarrett is currently employed by H & H Music where he is an Educational Representative.  He plays in the Evansville Symphonic Band, The Jet Brass Quintet, The Red Bank Re-Union Band, and the Wolfgang Classical Wind Ensemble.  His teachers have included Evrett Northcutt, James Bursen, Leon Rapier and H.M. Lewis.  He is also an active member of Old North United Methodist Church where he sings in the choir.
